It is reported that this concept car e-tron will turn into the long-rumored R4 brand and put into volume production. What’s New? on Show in MoscowBesides the full-electric drive unit, the R4 will be equipped with a series of gasoline engines.Positioned higher than the TT in Audi sports car family, the brand new R4 will be designed on an all new platform, the same platform with the new generation Porsche Cayman and Boxster’s.This R4 will also launch two models of the Coupe version and the Convertible version.The pure electric version R4 will be the top model of the series with four motors.It can supply 300 horsepower and more than 3000 lbs – ft of torque.The speedup process from 0 to 60 miles/hour could be finished within 5 seconds.This electric version R4 is expected to have an endurance mileage of about 150m, and runs at a top speed close to 140mph.

Located after the full electric R4 type will be the gasoline type.It is still not clear what kind of engine will be used in R4. However, the top engine used by R4 may be borrowed from TT-RS roadster’s 335-horsepower turbocharged five-cylinder model.
